Nina Knapp is a documentary filmmaker, writer, and lover of all animals.  She makes her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but grew up in Ontario, Oregon.  She has a master’s degree and post-graduate studies from the University of New Mexico

Nina began her writing with screenplays, and won two awards for her feature script, “Four Women and A Horse.”

Nina’s writing interests are mysteries, thrillers, SciFi, and fantasy. Her favorites to read are those four, plus horror.

Nina loves day trips, hanging with her toy poodle, Bruno, getting together with friends, and watching British mysteries.

Nina’s two documentaries are “The Sandoval 64” (2013) on same-sex marriage as it occurred in New Mexico in 2004, and “The Deadly Link” (2022), which is an investigative documentary on the link between animal abuse and domestic violence. She hopes to raise the funds for a third documentary on the Santeros of Northern New Mexico. Anyone know how to write grants?
